Glorification of Allah Photo Contest
There is no doubt that Allah (Subhana wa Ta'ala) is the Creator of all that is in the heavens and on the earth. Thus, He (SWT) deserves all glorification and, He (SWT) is worthy of all praises and obedience. All of the creation in the heavens and the earth glorify and praise Allah (SWT). For instance, the thunder is among the many signs of glorification towards our Rabb. These signs and all that He (SWT) has created on the heavens and earth are for people to reflect upon and realize the Creator does exist, and our purpose is to worship Him Alone. These signs are for everyone to reflect upon. It’s up to us to realize the many signs of our lord's greatness. He has put all that is on this earth for us to realize that He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Maintainer of all that exists. If mankind understood this, they would be of those that are humbled and full of awe towards their Lord. The signs are out there, each in its own state glorifying Allah (SWT); however, it is up to us to consider and realize that all that is around us was not created for any reason other than praising Him Alone. The people, who understand the concept of glorification of Allah (SWT), will know to pay keen attention to the Creator not the creation, for it is the Creator of the creation that deserves all glorifications. Many people are blinded by the beauty or awe of the creation, and end up glorifying this creation. They are heedless of the magnificence, power and beauty of the Creator; they forget the true concept of glorification of Allah. Hence, keeping these pointers in mind, the Young Muslims of NYC & Long Island proudly presents a Photo Contest. The purpose is to enhance our glorification towards Allah through sharing our way of seeing things.

-The picture provided should have some background info (2 - 4 lines explanation), as to how it relates to the theme & should be included
in the BODY of the email..
- Only ONE picture can be sent in per participant. The picture must be an original piece of work suitable for any age group viewing.
- Plagiarism or any sort of obscene content will not be tolerated and will lead to an immediate disqualification.
All Photos should be attached and emailed to newyorkcity@ymonline.org as a JPEG FORMAT ONLY! (along with the background info)
