IQRA Scholarship Program
A scholarship for all students of ‘Ilm

Mission Statement:
The IQRA scholarship program provides grants for NYC residents who wish to attend Islamic
classes or seminars taking place within the five boroughs. Through the IQRA scholarship, Muslimahs
who are financially unable to increase their Islamic education, are given an opportunity to acquire
the knowledge of the deen of Allah. It is repeatedly encouraged in the Quran for Muslims to attain
the knowledge of Allah and be more aware of the teachings of Islam. Let us embrace this opportunity
and apply, if financial restrictions have been preventing us from making use of the knowledge available;
or donate generously to help others walk on the path to knowledge of Allah SWT.

IQRA Scholarship Program Rules and Regulations:

Applicant must be a Muslim female.

Applicant must be a member of YMS – New York City.

Applicant’s age must be 16 years – 27 years old.

No application will be accepted without a valid signature.

An Applicant can qualify for a scholarship no more than twice a year.

Applicant must postmark their application at least 14 days in advance so all payments
can be processed and completed in timely manner.
